Inspiration: How Bad Do You Want It?

Every once & a while I turn to YouTube for a shot of inspiration. There are hundreds of gems hidden on there.

This is one of those gems.

“When you get to the point when all you want to be is successful as much as you want to breath, that’s when you’ll be successful!”

Making Money, Fancy Neighbors, and the Power of Success

December 19, 2011 one of life’s “firsts” happened…

I bought my very first subscription to a magazine; Success Magazine to be specific. After reading my first issue this week, I think it may be one of those BIG FIRSTS too!

It only cost me $35 & since every successful person I’ve built a friendship with has suggested it, I decided to jump on board & subscribe!

Whew, I did it… Then came the 6-8 week wait.

Ok, so here’s the point… Read More→

1 Step Formula to Success

by ell brown via Flickr

I’ve heard if you want to write a blog post that get’s a lot of attention it should be a list type post that help you achieve a desired result, so I went to work to create a list of steps to achieving success. I thought it would be hard, but recently I’ve found there is really only one step to achieving success… maybe two.

This list has been tried, tested, and tried again for years in my own life. My years of experience have proven this list to be the only formula that works toward achieving successful completion of anything, including success itself.

Today, I’m going to share this “secret formula” with you… Read More→

The Cage That Kept My Heart

by Tony the Misfit via Flickr

All talk eventually must boil down to work. If it doesn’t, nothing of value will ever be produced.

Unfortunately, 2011 was a great year for talk in my life. In fact I got so good at talking about my dreams, visions, and ideas that I had to hire someone to listen! I hired a coach who listened, pushed me, and set me up with a plan of work designed produced something of value & change lives. Then something really funny happened… Read More→

The Blank Slate Fallacy

by quinn.anya via Flickr

It’s that time again. The time when everyone around us starts to look forward, dream & plan about what they want to do accomplish within the next 12 months. It really is refreshing to have a natural point to  start over & make something of life. We have a blank slate ahead in which we can say, “This time… this year… in 2012… I will make real progress!”

For this reason alone I love the holiday season! Everyone get’s a chance to start new, wipe their slate clean, and forge any future they can envision.

I’m Quitting: My Apology & Explanation

Yes, you read that right…

The past few months I’ve attempted to publish a blog post every day. I’ve put out videos, short posts, and questions for you. My results have been little to zero feedback, stress, frustration, and bad follow-through on my part. I am deeply sorry & quite embarrassed so, I’m quitting!

Generating Leads Effectively – Tutorial Tuesday

Earlier last week someone asked me how they could generate leads effectively. I decided to answer here publicly by giving the actual steps that I take myself, and my clients, through to generate leads.

STEP #1: “Identify your ideal customer”

That means finding which people you can work with that are the MOST profitable & MOST fun to work with. My recommendation here is to choose a market & plan to dominate it!

How is Technology Finding You Customers?

It’s late Sunday evening & I just finished a small project I put together last week. In this project I used video, text, an email list manager, a self-improving website (more to come on this next week), and a few hours of time. All said & done this project will automatically qualify leads, warm them up, and schedule appointments for me. My total cost is less than $25/mo. to maintain.

Today technology is easy, cheap, and readily available. The only thing you need is someone who can help you apply it to the task of getting more customers and ultimately making more money.

How are you using technology to find new customers?

Success Does Not Have a Secret – Follow Friday

If I told you that you already knew all the secrets that there were to being successful, what would your response be?

Well, I was listening to an interview with Dr. Ivan Misner, the founder of BNI last week. I’ll be honest & tell you the interview didn’t really have much “new” information as far as what it takes to be successful, network with people, or grow my business, but the interview was a valuable reminder about building your network.

There was one sentence in the interview that will change how I look at success forever:

“The secret to success is an uncommon application to common knowledge.”
- Dr. Ivan Misner

Tell me how you would apply this?
